Something that irked me

I know this post doesnt fit with the general theme of this blog but since its my blog, I can write what the fuck I want. All that aside, I get home from work today and am flippin through the TV channels when I land on a show called Cash Cab on the Discovery channel. I think to myself 'how the fuck did this show ever make it to production?' I mean people are getting in car wrecks every day because of being distracted while talking on cell phones. Teens are getting killed in accidents from texting behind the wheel. And yet, this douchebag is hosting a TV gameshow while driving around in heavy New York City traffic. Is it just me, or does anyone else think the concept of this show is just fundamentally moronic? And secondly, who is underwriting the insurance for this show? Certainly not a company I hope to be doing business with in the future. I will check back tommorow, cant wait to hear peoples responses on this one.  djnb

  9. I never really thought of it that way... I would think running a gameshow out of your cab would be a little more distracting than using your cell..

  13. I kinda wondered some of this too, but also being a TV production, they could also possibly close off some of the routes they use temporarily after people get in. Just a thought.

  14. I've seen the show before. The host/driver actually is really careful and he himself isn't distracted, only the participants while answer questions and such.

You just have to learn to be smart about general knowledge.

  16. Interesting point, but the shoe does make getting into a cab a bit more exciting until no lights go off and you have to pay 120$ in fare...
